OMUM is a mental health platform designed to explore how emotional experiences can be translated into more intuitive, expressive and adaptive digital systems.
Inspired by the vibrational qualities of sound and frequency, the project approaches emotions not as fixed labels, but as fluid states that continuously shift, evolve and rebalance over time.
Through the integration of color, motion-inspired visual language and emotionally responsive interaction patterns, OMUM reimagines mental wellness experiences as dynamic environments designed to promote self-awareness, reflection, and emotional understanding.
Challenge
Most digital mental wellness platforms rely on highly clinical structures, rigid emotional categorization or performance-driven tracking systems that can make emotional reflection feel impersonal and disconnected from how people actually experience their emotions.
Strategic Direction
OMUM was created to explore a more emotionally intuitive approach by reframing mental wellness as something fluid, adaptive and deeply personal rather than static or clinically defined. Inspired by the idea that emotions behave like frequencies — constantly shifting in intensity, rhythm and balance.
At its core, Omum is built on the idea that emotions behave like frequencies—subtle, continuous and always in motion. Like sound waves, feelings rise, fall, intensify and soften, often without clear boundaries. The identity translates this invisible movement into a visual language: frequency becomes waveform, waveform becomes color, and color becomes a tool for awareness.
This dual system allows users to both feel and see their emotions—bridging internal experience with external understanding in a way that is immediate, intuitive, and deeply personal.

Emotional Strategy & Experience Positioning
OMUM was designed for users seeking more reflective, emotionally aware, and visually expressive approaches to mental wellness. The platform targets individuals interested in emotional self-awareness, mindfulness, mood reflection, and emotionally adaptive digital experiences that feel more personal and intuitive than traditional wellness platforms.
The strategic positioning focused on reframing emotional health as something fluid and evolving rather than fixed or clinically categorized. Built around the principles of emotional fluidity over rigid categorization, self-awareness over performance tracking and reflection over clinical abstraction, the brand strategy informed a visual and interaction system designed to feel calm, immersive and deeply personal throughout the experience.
Through the integration of color and emotionally responsive interaction patterns, OMUM reimagines mental wellness experiences as dynamic environments designed to promote self-awareness, reflection and emotional understanding in a way that feels immersive, human-centered and emotionally intuitive.
OMUM became an exploration of how emotional design, visual systems and adaptive digital experiences can create more human-centered approaches to mental wellness.
The project reinforced the importance of designing for emotional nuance rather than purely functional interaction patterns.
It also highlighted how abstract visual systems, when grounded in clear strategic thinking, can help transform complex emotional concepts into intuitive and meaningful user experiences.
